How do I import my existing list?
Open Settings, then Import. Board owners get three ways in:
- Magic Import: paste a messy pile of text from Notes, Keep, or anywhere else,
or paste cells straight from a spreadsheet. The app splits it into separate
quotes and guesses speakers and dates where it can. You get a preview of
every row before anything happens.
- Import from file: .txt, .csv, Word
(.docx), Excel (.xlsx / .xls),
.html, or .md.
- Restore from backup: a JSON file this app exported earlier.
Nothing saves until you confirm. Your paste stays on your phone while you
review it, and if an import goes sideways you can undo the whole batch right
after.
Not yet supported: PDF, older Word .doc, photos or OCR, and live Google Drive
links. Export or copy into one of the formats above first.
Why did my import stop at 500?
Big imports go 500 at a time so nothing gets mangled. Your file still has the
rest. Import it again once the first batch is saved.
How do I export?
Settings → Export. Grab JSON if you want a full backup you can restore
later, or CSV if you want a spreadsheet. Your quotes are yours. Take them whenever you want.
What happens to my data?
Quotes live in your private family board. Only accounts you invite can see them. We do not sell your data,
stick ads next to it, or feed it into a training pile. The app does collect basic crash reports and usage
stats (which screens get opened, whether an import worked) so I can fix what breaks. Never quote text. You
can export anytime, and you can ask us to delete your account. Full detail: Privacy

Quotes belong to the family board they were added to. If you leave a shared board
or delete your account, the rest of the family keeps the archive. It is no longer
linked to you.
How do I delete my account?
Settings, then Delete account. It removes your sign-in and your board for good,
right away, no email required. If you would rather we handle it, use Delete my data.
Is it really free?
Yes. Adding quotes, searching, sharing cards, and Who Said It? are free with no
ads, and there is no cap on how many quotes you can save. There will probably be
some optional paid extras down the road to cover the server bill, but they will
be extras. Your archive, and everything you need to keep it, stays free. This is
not a freemium trap.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Android came first because that is what I had in my pocket. An iOS
version is next on the list.
How do I add another parent?
Settings → Family Managers → Invite family manager. Enter their name and
email, pick a role, then share the invite. They sign in with Google and join the same board. Same kids, same
archive, fewer “did you write that down?” texts.
What if I lose my phone?
Sign in on a new phone with the same Google account. Your board syncs from the cloud. Quotes are text, not
locked to one device. Still, export a JSON backup once in a while if you like sleeping better. Offline
writes sync when you are back online.
