Request data deletion
If you used Family Quote Board with a Google account, you can ask us to delete the personal data tied to that account (membership record and related access). Quotes and people records on a shared family board may be kept if other members still need them, or removed when they only relate to you. Tell us what you want in your email.
You can also delete your account directly in the app: Settings, then Delete account. That removes your sign-in immediately, without waiting on us.
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@familyquoteboard.com from an address we can verify.
- Include the Google account email you used to sign in to the App.
- Say clearly that you want your account / membership deleted, and note any specific quotes or people records you want removed.
What we will do
- Verify the request, usually by confirming you control the Google account on file.
- Permanently delete your sign-in and your membership on any board. You will no longer be able to sign in.
- Delete or de-identify the personal data we hold about you, except limited records we are required to keep for security or legal reasons.
- Email you to confirm when it is done.
Quotes and people on a shared family board belong to that board. If other members are still using it, that content stays with them and is no longer linked to you. If the board is only yours, it is deleted with your account.
If you are the only Owner of a board
Say so in your email. We will either transfer the board to another member you name, or delete it entirely, whichever you prefer. We will not leave a board without an Owner.
